Tiergarten Nürnberg

Since the opening of the lagoon on 30 July 2011, more than 130,000 people have visited the Tiergarten Nürnberg with the new manatee house and dolphin lagoon.

On dry days, the stream of visitors around noon is so huge that traffic problems can temporarily occur.

The Tiergarten Nürnberg therefore recommends to come to the Tiergarten Nürnberg as early as possible after its opening at 8 a.m. and to also use public transportation whenever possible. When displaying a valid ticket of the VGN (transport association metropolitan area Nuremberg) or the Deutsche Bahn (German railway), you will get reduced admission, which pays off for individual visitors and families one child. The savings on the family ticket is even better with two or more children.

Until 12 September 2011, tram line 5 heading for the Tiergarten Nürnberg is starting not at its usual station at the main railway station but from the northern entrance of the Allersberger tunnel barely 200 meters from the main railway station.

For several days now, the dolphins have been swimming mostly in the large basin and can therefore also be seen through the huge panoramic window.
