Dwarf Zebu

Dew and hump

Dwarf Zebu originally came from Sri Lanka and Caucasia. Their small, slender heads have big and expressive eyes. This breed is known for its pronounced dewlap (throatfold), as well as the striking hump on their shoulders. This consists of connective tissue, fat and six different muscles.

Nimble

Today, Dwarf Zebu are also common in Europe. Due to their light weight and being so steady on their feet, they hardly cause any crop damage. Dwarf Zebu are kept for their meat, which is considered a delicacy.
