This impressive iguana spends most of its time in trees. Their long, sharp claws make them excellent climbers. They also prefer to be close to water. When threatened with danger, they can fall from great heights into water and escape.
Iguanas communicate through the typical nod of their head. It is part of their mating ritual and is also used to defend their territory. In battles with rivals, iguanas defend themselves with their sharp claws and whipping tail.
