Dybowski's Deer

(engl: Dybowski's Deer)

Summer and winter fashion

The Dybowski Deer's fur changes colour completely between their summer and winter coats. Their red and brown summer coat, with large white spots, looks similar to "Bambi", but their winter coat is monochrome - black and brown, and rather scruffy.

Trophy hunting is not worth it

The Dybowski Deer, a subspecies of the Asian Sika Deer, doesn’t develop magnificent antlers, since their antler formation ends when they reach 8 to 10. However, velvet antlers (dried immature antlers) are eaten in their homeland as a delicacy.
